Ingredients
Chicken pieces
All-purpose flour
Cornstarch
Salt and pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Paprika
Buttermilk (or regular milk)
Cooking oil for frying
Marination:
Mix chicken pieces with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
Place the seasoned chicken in a bowl and pour buttermilk over it. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least a few hours or overnight.
Coating:
In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour and cornstarch. Add more salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to the flour mixture for added flavor.
Remove chicken from the buttermilk,
Coat each piece of chicken thoroughly in the flour mixture.
Frying:
Heat cooking oil in a deep fryer or large pot
Fry the chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes, depending on the size of the chicken pieces.
Drain and Serve
