My pork nilaga

Onions
Potatoes
Pechay or cabbage
Beef Cubes
Whole Black Pepper

Since i dont have a sharp knife haha i had a hard time to cut my pork so i decided to boil it in hot water until its tender, and im so happy i did that because makes my life easier to chop and cut the porks.

On a boiling water i just put water, then add the onions, whole pepper, and the pork that i cut, and the beef cubes. I saw on youtube that they are using pork cubes, but for me, the beef is more tastier. When its boiling already i put the potatoes let it simmer until the potatoes is tender. Before i used to add banana the SABA to add sweetness and also corn, but my kids dont like it. You can add salt or magic sarap to taste. But me, i used patis (fish sauce) When the pork and potatoes is already tender i add the pechay and thats it.

My father and i favourite dish, but we dont want liempo part we prefer a buto buto part to our nilaga with a lot of pechay baguio, corn and saging na saba sometimes potato And then we have patis with calamansi and sili for dipping sauce SO YUMMY
I think you forgot the green leafy vegetable in your ingredients list

Thanks for noticing Isabel. I forgot to list the pechay haha or cabbage (optional)

Before im using buto buto also, but one time, my youngest got choked because of the small pork bone. I didnt notice it because its on the rice.

One of the best meal for me pork nilaga my mother dont like to put corn and banana in nilaga because it make sweet she dont like sweet taste
she wants sinigang than nilaga but i dont like sour soup and we always argue about it waaaaahhhhhahaha
