Po and OPO

Po and Opo

In the Philippines we use the words Po and Opo when speaking to elders, as a sign of respect. For example "KUMAEN NA PO BA KAYO" translates to "Have you eaten po." Im not sure if theres an exact English to po and opo.
I do teach my child these words. Its nice to hear this word from children, as it shows their respect to us. We have different cultures and beliefs, and this is just one of many Filipino traits coming from the ancient elders.

Thats it for now, until my next forum

That is normal here in the Philippines but i think in other country they talk to others or elders, they talk  just like a friend but with respect without using po and opo. Here in the Philippines when the kids not using po and opo they say that they so disrespectful.
