Is dried fish ( TUYO) really good?

HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES, ONE OF THE COMMON FOODS IS RICE, FROM MORNING, NOON, NIGHT AND SOMETIMES I EAT RICE THREE TIMES OR MORE. Breakfast is the best meal time for me. because of a cup of hot coffee and breakfast FOOD on the table such as eggs, ham, hotdogs, langonisa and dried fish... yes you are right. most pinoy breakfast is just fried dish and sometimes even rice IS Fried called "SINANGAG" . Pinoy food is really good even if they only have TUYO AND coffee for breakfast .. YOU CAN PUT THE COFFEE INTO YOUR RICE . ITS PERFECT . Pinoys are like that.. but sometimes I asked myself IF TUYO is really good? or we just don't have choice. Yes, it's good and delicious because we Filipinos are used to that kind of food, but for others, eating TUYO is the definition of poverty. for example, you will notice when your husband salary is not enough for the whole week , we also adjust our food menu for the whole week . the dish we think of is usually dry fish or TUYO. when there's a typhoon or just after a typhoon, apart from noodles, sardines also include dried fish (TUYO) among the ready dishes. ITS delicious, yes, but why TUYO is not in the menu of any occasion, its not included in the menu of famous restaurants..
Is it really good or we just don't have a choice ?

I think the food in the Philippines is certainly something I will need to adapt to if I fulfil my dream of moving there. It is very different to English food from what you described Isabel.
I wonder if you could tell me. Is imported English food available in the shops and is it expensive? I have some dietary needs that I need to cater for. Thanks x

Of course yes. I think Philippines has everything. Hehe. there are many restaurants in the Philippines that offer British food.. such as the restaurant in ALABANG Union Jack Tavern
"An Authentic British Restaurant, and a Gastro Pub". Established to make foreigners and local guests experience Britain ambiance.

yes Pinoy food is really delicious, but they seem to have a hard time adapting to Pinoy food, especially English people

I like your concept. I also suddenly wondered if it is delicious or we only have no choice, for me it is delicious but if you line it with a different dish I don't think you will immediately like it. It depends on the situation, if only at home it's really good to eat, but if on occasions, it seems like they don't like it. Thats for me only ..
