Living in PH with my experience

Im a filipina single mom with 3 kids, not renting. Our monthly expenses ranges between $200 to $300. That includes my electricity is ranging from almost 3K pesos, water bill is 500 pesos, Fiber internet is 2K pesos. Most of the time i spend 5K for the grocery and atleast 3K pesos to buy fresh chickens, meats and porks and veggies to the wet market. Im working as an freelancer so i work from home plus online seller. My salary is not enough so you really need to budget. But i will say that we are able to live comfortably.

The local wet and dry markets in my area offer affordable prices, so i make sure that me and my kids eat healthy, i make sure that every week we consume fish, meats and vegetables.

My kids is having free vaccines, you dont need to go to the hospital and pay for a pediatrician the barangay staffs will go to your house.

My kids is studying at a PUBLIC school near our home. At the beginning of school year, the mayor is giving school supplies so you will not worry how to buy incase you dont have a budget, It comes with a bag, 5 notebooks, 2 pad papers, 4 pencils, 2 ballpens, 1 eraser, 1 box of colors, 1 pack of colored papers, Plastic folder with handle inside is brown envelopes long and short folders, bond papers and colored papers, ruler, glue and scissor. Amazing right. Its a complete package.

My kids has a tablet too. Its a samsung galaxy tab a7 lite. Its a big help. My kids is using this for their projects, for doing research. You only need to worry your load if your using data.

Im having my monthly check up at a private hospital im paying 600 pesos for the doctors fee, 200 pesos for medical certificate.
Ofcourse there are public/government hospitals were you can avail the services for free, if you are patient to wait.

Im so lucky that generic pharmacy near me is having mobile laboratory testing every 2 months, you can get 6 test for only 400 pesos. Its super cheap. It comes with Creatinine to check kidney function, Fbs to check blood sugar, Uric acid, Total cholesterol, Urinalysis and SGPT to check liver damage. Its so cheap and very affordable, plus this 6 test is the most important.

The LGU's in the city were i live is helping by giving peoples work, free TESDA courses where you can enroll for free, no tuition fees, finish the trainings then you can get NC2, its needed if you want to work abroad, overseas. If you have atleast 10 years of work experience then nc2 is not needed.

They are giving livelihood programs, and money so you can start your own business.

They also have programs like TUPAD, where they will give you work for 10 to 15days. Its good also so people is really atleast working and not just getting money easily. You work, then you get paid.

How about you? Does your city has programs like this too?

I know right. Its really a big help. But i hope this tupad program can reach more in need people, give chance to others also. Because yearly, it was the same people has given a chance to join this kind of program. The one's who is working with the politicians mostly benefit from it. I hope they can come up with the list per barangay. List names of the people who has already joined so they can give the slot to others who is first timers. My kids tablet has no sim card by the way sis Rachelle
