I know as a Filipino You know very well what fiesta means.
This is not just for the enjoyment of a group of the same family but of an entire barangay or sometimes the entire city.Every ,province, town, bario has their own fiesta to celebrate once a year.


so what exactly is FIESTA?

FIESTA is a religious celebration by the Roman Catholic people in honor of a saint. That, festivities mostly coincide with the day of the patron saint of a particular place. And each barangay has a fiesta which holds through for municipalities and cities depending on the political subdivision in the Philippines. Fiesta” means festival and they are a renowned tradition of the Philippines. These joyful and grand events are at the heart of Filipino culture.

and because More than 86 percent of the population here in the Philippines is Roman Catholic,Most people here in the Philippines know the fiesta very well. the festival is also a kind of event for giving thanks for a blessing of the whole year

What happens during Philippine fiestas?
Sometimes the fiesta starts with a beautiful parade beautiful costume props all made from indigenous or recycled materials. loud bands. . The streets are also decorated with BANDERITAS

simple contests for the Barangay. variety show, Disco, Perya and the famous pageant whether female male or gayman.

What people do during fiesta ?
relatives, friends and acquaintances will come to your house and every house in the Barangay Prepares food and they welcome every guest to eat the dishes they have prepared.
and after they eat, each barangay has a show prepared for them to watch, just like the exhibition in the street , funny shows on stage and so on.

Having a fiesta is also fun because there is a whole day of Very Happy gathering of relatives and friends,
I hope that in the future this tradition will not be lost and will be passed on to future generations
