did you know that BALUT is really (masarap) delicious?
BALUT is a fertilized bird egg (usually a duck) which is incubated for a period of 14 to 21 days, depending on the local culture, and then steamed. It is one of the most popular street food here in the Philippines.
I started tasting balot when I was 1st year high school. My cousins were on the road, they were eating something egg then I asked them what they were eating and my sister gave it to me at that time. I ate it, they said I should add vinegar and salt and swallow it whole. and since then I have learned to eat BALOT.
at first I hesitate to eat it because it looks disgusting, but when you taste it, it has a unique taste that makes it delicious, especially if you add vinegar that is spicy and a little salty. maybe it's disgusting to others, especially to other races, I understand them, we have our own tastes
