Cant cook because ran out of m-gas?
The solution here in the Philippines? Cook with wood or charcoal haha.

Actually most people that using it is from Philippines, specially in the province, Its affordable and you can gathered wood for free.
They say you can only do this in province. But as long as you have an open area, you can use wood.

Actually wood fired cooking brings a unique smoky flavor.

Ofcourse it takes longer to cook using wood, and it takes a lot of patience. Specially when your not used to it.
Harder to manage because of the fire.
plus, Gas is so pricey here in the PH. We just bought last week and its 965 pesos.

Have you tried this too?

We use wood to cook when we are in province. We cant do that here because we dont have a dirty kitchen or an open area.
We only use charcoal for grilling. But both of them serves their purpose to help us in cooking. Much affordable and your right it takes a lot of patience and effort.

Just be careful, especially charcoal releases a lot of carbon monoxide which, if breathed, gives no warning and cannot be smelled...

From:
newsinfo.inquirer.net/1057082/charcoal-u...ublic-health-economy

Separate data from the World Bank showed that in 2013, a total of 57,403 Filipinos prematurely died because of air pollution-related causes — up nearly 33 percent from the levels in 1990.

Various studies have shown that those who are more exposed to charcoal burning are at higher risk of developing respiratory diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and lung cancer.

It may also exacerbate heart diseases and make one more prone to strokes.

This is due to the pollutants, such as fine particles of PM2.5, nitrogen oxide and black carbon, which are emitted when burning charcoal, Kass said.
