Noon time nap for kids here in the Philippines

Here In the Philippines, the practice of putting children to sleep at noon or having a 'noon time nap' is a common tradition in many families. I remember when I was young we didnt have gadgets like cellphones, so our only entertainment was playing with other kids. But we couldnt play during lunchtime because we needed to take a nap first, so we could grow and become smarter.

Thats what my mother said to us during our time  This is considered an important part of a childs day, not only for their physical development but also for their cleanlines. The lunchtime siesta is a tradition that continues to be maintained in many homes in the Philippines. 

Thats why even now, I make my grandchildren take a nap at noon when theyre at my house. 

Hahahaha My God Ems i can relate. I do this to my Grand kids i always say that they need noon time nap. And when they woke up i have cooked them delicious Meryenda 

One of my problem during childhood, i want to play because we have bahay bahayan and at noon time we cook our lunch in the bahay bahayan im so jealous to other kids that time because they are always present anytime to play. But me i have to sleep at noon.

I hate noon time naps when i was a kid 😂 I hate it because my mom specially my grandma wants us to sleep when we are not even sleepy 😂🤦 I dont do this to my kids anymore. I just dont want them to go outside when its noon time. If they doesnt want to sleep then its okay 

So happy that members here can relate to my forums. The Gen Z nowadays dont know about that anymore. Cellphones are the trend now thats what they use as always as in 24 hours
