Yesterday a nationwide jeepney strike started in connection with the government's plan of phasing them out and change them into a new model where thousands of jeepney drivers and operators /owners are not agreed due to this the face to face classes in all public and private schools were suspended

Covid has affected so many people in so many ways. It must have been, and still is, I'm sure difficult for the jeepney drivers since Covid started and I imagine that the number of riders are still low.

Well, as a frequent passenger, I can say that a lot of people need this modest form of transportation. We're praying the government won't phase them out because a lot of people depend on them with their mobility to and from work, school, or any other errands needs to be done outside. Although the pandemic hasn't ended yet, majority of the people are confident of the vaccine that they resume almost 100% back to normal.

I remembered the time when we missed the jeeps ride. the commuters really struggled but because our mayor's action was quick.. he implemented a free ride. we saved more then.. but nothing seems to have happened in the modernization of the vehicle that they are fighting for. they just wasted money
