Jeepney modernization ..is it a yes or a no?

Talks and news are around regarding jeepney modernization which means there will be a phase out in old model jeepney ..many are not agree with this specially the drivers and operators as well for them it is not justifiable to get rid of theyr old model type of jeep replacing with the one made in china which for one thing cost them too much to purchase ...and for me in my own opinion i disagree too to this bcoz first and foremost jeepney is a part of our cultural heritage ..it is one identity of the Philippines it is proudly invented by a filipino amd even tourists coming in our country are interested to experience riding on a jeepney i think all theg have to do is to just phase out those jeepneys that are already very old in usage

Unfortunately, inheritance or not, it has to be done.

Old jeepneys are a massive danger to traffic, and the old engines spew smoke that harms our health.
