Why Philippines have a very slow internet connections

Our country is known for its very slow internet connection and yeah its not good for us esp nowadays that online businesses is in its high peak with the many internet network providers no one can tell which really is the best but for me one of the main reason why we are experiencing that is the less support telcos are getting from the government plus the fact that Philippines is ranked high in spending many hours in social media platform and that the more subscribers there is the more it affects the speed of the internet connection am i right guys ? How about you what is your thoughts about it? Feel free to share your comments..thanks in advance

Its because of the lack of infrastructure. Ofcourse when there is lacking everything will not go smoothly and will not work properly. Just like our electricity, roads, telecommunications etc. The problem is we always have NEW BRIGHT IDEAS for infrastructure planning, we also have the BUDGET for this. But there are corrupt officials, CORRUPTION is the main problem, when corruption is there the budget is affected when the budget is affected there is delays in projects and it can lead to poor quality infrastructure.

As long as there CORRUPTION and the people who manage the projects is not really putting their mind, soul and heart to serve the filipino people we will still suffer from poor and slow internet connection.
