Do the appliances that are not turned on but plugged in still co-consume electri

Hello!
Im just curious, since I realized how important it is to save money. Because im a full-time mom now i need to be wise. So here's my question
Do the appliances that are not turned on but plugged in still co-consume electricity?

Example:
TV plugged in but turned OFF
Electric Fan plugged in but turned OFF

or do I always need to remove the plug when not in use? and just plug it back in when using?
Thank you to those who will answer.

Hi Eli, This is often called "phantom" power  👻 Unless you physically unplug the device from the wall outlet, it'll continue drawing some power in standby mode, whether it is a TV or an electric fan..if I were you and wanted to save some money, I would unplug the appliances.

Thank you for noticing my question, I think you're right and I'm safer when I unplug everything especially when I don't use it
