I reviewed the main party area for foreigners in Cebu City, the Mango area, so you can decide if it is worth it.

Unless there is a special event, all the bars are free, while the clubs usually cost around 100 PHP entry fees. A San Miguel Light costs around 85 PHP in most pubs.

Most, if not all, bars located in this area have bar girls who will accompany you if you buy her lady drinks. These drinks seem to cost 250 PHP at most pubs. I do not frequent strip clubs, so I do not know the prices for a lady drink there, but I would assume it would be maybe 300+.

This article and the following video show the places available. I would say the main street is from one end to the other. If you want to explore the area further, do so during the day. You will find several places in nearby alleys, but for a tourist, you should stay on the main road and the safest area of Mango.

I know it can be challenging for us from a Western country, US, Canada, Australia, and so on to see kids 4-12 years old begging for money, and you instinctively want to help out. In Mango and other areas with many tourists, it is better to walk past them and not interact with them. This is not your regular beggars. They are in gangs and groups and will rob you blind if given a chance. I once got robbed of my phone in my front pocket while wearing jeans. I did not notice anything. Now, I carry all my valuables safely when I am out in Mango at night time.

These kids go barefoot and dirty around the bars at night and play with their smartphones and bikes in the daytime. Once you have been here for a while, you can easily spot those kids from the real people in need. The problem is that those people are mostly not in the Mango area as they get chased away by the groups mentioned above and gangs.

Besides this, the area is perfectly safe, and you will have no problems or scary moments going out to party and have fun in Mango. As I mentioned in my video, Cebu is not a place to travel if you come for girls and parties, but if you are here for other reasons and want to mix in some partying to the trip, then Mango is the best place for a foreigner in Cebu.

It is nothing like Angeles or Pattaya, but you will find everything you need if you like clubs, pubs, or strip clubs.

Stay away from the streetwalkers—just a friendly piece of advice. If you are here to party and date some girls and do not mind paying, go for a bar girl or a girl from the strip clubs. If you are here to find a good girl for a serious relationship, that is a much healthier and better option, and you should not look for this girl in the nightlife scene. The good girls that will make a great wife are not found here. Try to talk with our members instead, or get to know the girl you like when you see her while you are here. Philippine girls are generally shy and reserved, so you must make first contact.

Howling dogs: AGreat place to have a beer, talk with other foreigners, enjoy some sports on the TV, play some billiards, and talk with some beautiful girls. I think this place has the most beautiful girls at the time this review is made. They serve bar-style food. Their burger taste pretty decent. One of my two favorite places to go.

Philly's sports bar: This used to be Old Stars bar, where Jessa and I always partied before we had our son, Liam. It used to be a great place. The new owner renamed the place and rebranded it. No more billiard table in there. He advertises with 25 screens showing live sports. He does not even show sports on one screen.

They serve food here, but its quality is not worth the money. If you want to visit this bar, you should eat at another location before you come here.

It is not a bad design, but the music they play is horrible when you think about who the targeted guests should be, and it is just boring there compared to any other place in Mango.

The owner is less than friendly towards guests and has completely missed what should have been his target audience.

This place has gone from my first choice down to my last choice.

Bamboozers: This place starts slow, but after midnight, it picks up. While all other places close, they keep open until 5 am in the morning. Not done partying, and all other places are closed down? Easy, just come to Bamboozers. I did, and still do, the very few times I am out partying now—a different experience, and worth the visit.

Cubana: This is a perfect place to start your night. Have a pizza, some pasta, or maybe just a snack salad? Enjoy some beers, and enjoy the live music while fueling up and getting ready for a full night out.

The food here is decent, but the drinks are on the high end. San Miguel was 120 PHP, and a soft drink was 95 PHP.  

Bar Code: This place has only been running for about nine months. It is owned by a local Philippine woman. The design is great, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is great. They have one screen showing sports, a billiard table, and live music.

This is my favorite place, along with the Howling Dogs.

In addition, you find big clubs where you can dance into the night and strip clubs to enjoy your eyes. Mango has a little something for everyone.
